First off at Macbookwatch we would like to wish the best of health to Steve Jobs. Hopefully he will feel better with the time off that he has taken from work and most importantly good health in the future. Shame on the investors whose only concern is the value of their stock.
With that being said, Steve Jobs has said when he left for his medical leave of absence that he would return in June. We hope this is true and believe that his return will not be a quiet one. Is Snow Leopard on the Horizon in June? How about updated Aluminum Macbooks?
According to macrumors.com buyers guide the timing would be perfect for updated Macbooks as Apple tends to make revisions every 6 months and the long anticipated Snow Leopard should be just about ready.
A little off subject since this site really is dedicated to finding sales on a cheap Macbook and Macbook related news but fans of Apple's Iphone and iPod touch are finally getting some of the updates they have been waiting for.
You can read about the update at ReadWriteWeb, a great blog that provides Web Technology news, reviews and analysis.

You never have to worry about missing out on that great bargain again.
Apple has scheduled an event for Tuesday concerning the Iphone software. We look forward to hearing what the tech gurus have come up with next to the iPhone platform.
Adding fuel to the fire Reuters has published a report pointing to a an unamed source who said Apple "will take third-quarter delivery of newly developed 10-inch touchscreens from Taiwan."
The source has asked not to be identified for obvious reasons, added the screens would come from long-time iPhone touchscreen supplier Wintek, which resides in Taiwan.
This only fuels the rumor that the Cupertino-based electronics maker will be releasing a scaled down laptop commonly known as a "Netbook". Will this be the cheap MacBook we've been waiting for?
Apple, in the past, has been clear in their statements that standard netbooks are "principally based on hardware that's much less powerful than [...] customers want, software technology that is not good, cramped keyboards, [and] small displays."
Steve Jobs has even said in the past that he doesn't believe in building a cheap MacBook and that there are not a lot of netbooks being sold, therefore Apple has stayed away from them, but with the success of the iPhone and iPod Touch have they changed their minds.
If anyone can transform the netbook market it is Apple. I look forward to seeing what is coming in the near future!
What are your thoughts on what Apple has in mind with these new touchscreens?
There is no way around it, Apple Macbooks are Expensive! Even with the nifty features, in today's tough economic times it is hard to not only come up with the money to purchase one but also to get yourself to buy one.
The laptop is an excellent piece of technology don't get me wrong but the price point Apple puts on their Macbook, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air is difficult for some people to afford.
If that is the case, then buying a used Macbook makes good sense. Think of it as buying a new car. As soon as you drive it off the lot it depreciates and for every day you own it it depreciates even more. If you were to buy a brand new Macbook and tried to sell it in the parking lot ( still in the box unopened ) I guarantee you would not get what you just paid for it 10 minutes ago.
A MacBook is a great investment though as they do tend to hold their value more then other comparable PC's.
What are your predictions on the release of Apple's highly anticipated Snow Leopard ?
Darrell Etherington at Appleblog.com gives his prediction with this post
We knew we weren’t going to have to wait too long for Snow Leopard (10.6) to make its appearance on store shelves, but according to MacRumors, things just got a little more specific courtesy of a slide from a conference presentation. read more...
Admit it, you’ve probably fallen under the Apple marketing campaign and found yourself singing along to one of their catchy songs they use to promote new products, stood in line for the latest iPhone, or purchased one –or several—iPods to carry your personal music library wherever you go.
And did I mention their desktop computer and laptops? Not only are they sleek, but incredibly user-friendly. In a world of telecommuting and online business, laptop ergonomics are becoming incredibly important to the average computer user.
